ENO ICH Interior

Are you HARDCORE?

Posted January 10, 2010 in Wine, Wine Everywhere, Winemakers

The ENO at the Hotel Del and San Diego and the Intercontinental Chicago were the first to roll out our newest addition to the ENO flight program. We focus on small production wine not redily available or made specifically for ENO. The newest red wine is from David Corey. David produces wine from Core Winery, concentrating on blends. This edition of Hardcore is Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre. Think Rhone with the backbone borrowed from Bordeaux, and a little California sunshine. Most of the fruit comes from Alta Mesa vineyard, a sustainably farmed vineyard in Santa Barbara. David produced a little over 4oo cases of this wine. Most of it comes to ENO, with the balance mainly going to his wine club and tasting room. Stay tuned for dates when David will be stopping in the ENO near you for an ENOversity class.
